The present book is structured "grammatically". It describes the basic principles of operating techniques rather than various surgical methods. Like in language the grammar is concerned less with content than with rules, Eye Surgery focuses not on particular operations but on every, single step within a given surgical procedure.
The first German-language edition of "Augenchirurgie" (Eye Surgery) was listed among the 50 most beautiful books by the Book Art Foundation (Stiftung Buchkunst) of the Association of the German Book Trade
