A story for children
I painted this book when I was in my early twenties, when I lived in Karmia from 1950 to 1952. We were a group of young women and men who had come to Israel from many different countries with the will of building a Kibbutz in a deserted corner of Israel, to cultivate the area and to farm the land.
For many years the paintings slumbered among my books. Now, 45 years later have written up a text for my grandchildren, with the addition of some new paintings.
This simple story told by a young kibbutznik was intended to teach our children about their environment in the desert and the sea. May other children enjoy too!
